correct method to start a LT4 engine
I just received my CE and my neighbor stated that the I should turn the ignition on two times and then crank the engine. I thought that since the car is FI that you just crank?

Your neighbor is full of it. Push in the clutch and hit the key. Or put it in park and hit the key.

Badduck is correct. Your neighbor is full of it. But since it is an LT4 you cannot put it in park.

Your neighbor is an idiot. It doesnt function the same as a pumping a carb. One turn is all the pump needs to prime.

Where do people come up with this stuff?
I have never heard that in my life, and I am old enough I've had plenty of cars (Carbed and FI).

That would only be a good question if you had a 1954 or a 1955.

Is his 40th Black or Ruby Red. I ask because there were only few that came out black.

Maybe it has quirks???
LOL
I would push the far left pedal to the floor, start the car, then hold the right pedal to the floor, and release clutch pedal and your off.
