Guys.. I have a 94 with 34000 miles and if I dont dump the clutch it really doesn't smoke them up.. is this the way things should be? I swear after I put flow matser mufflers its different out of the hole.. is thuis sound right? please help.. I thought rolling going a few miles an hour the car would and should smoke some tires..

Even with ASR off, depending on tires and road conditions it may not. For example rolling at 10MPH mine will NOT light up the tires. When I hit 2nd it does chrip them every time. Now being said, like tonight I did a semi-hole shot on the street about 3500RPM and eased out on the clutch as to try and avoid wheel spin but I got it any how and layed a couple nice black patches about 50 feet long and some more when I got 2nd. Not what I had in mind but whatever works. We ONLY got 300hp and 9.5 wide rear tires=lots of traction.

Heck, at the drag strip I launch at 4500RPM with little clutch slip on take off and dead hook. I need less clutch slip but not a dump and more RPM. On street tires no less. FYI, it is not from lack of HP in good air I trap in the 108-109 range.

With 315s in back, it takes a lot for me to turn the tires over. I have to rev it around 3500-4 and dump the clutch at a stand still to get them to turn over. I have not had any success at turning them over if moving. I do get the 2nd gear chirp, but I have to be on it pretty hard to get even that.

It really does depend on how warm the tires are and the pavement surface. Some blacktop is like sand paper and the tires grip right away.

I wish I had this problem of having tons of traction.... My 94 6 speed is stock with a full exhaust and its tricky to launch without boiling the 315's, always has been since it was stock
