Trackday Video
but yesterday my Overdrive was engaging at 60 mph instead of 40 ...so i knew my tranny was acting weird. i was right
After exact 3 years i lost 3rd/4th clutch pack again

I don't treat my car like a cruiser passenger car,i like to mash it
everytime i can, so i think it's fair. Rebuild time is calling ...
I would need to work overtime for this car man ! D44 needed as well !
I played with the timing as well ...i got it at 10° but i cannot notice much difference at all ! Maybe i should go to 12° or retune it on the near future. Thanks ! Hope you like the new video !

Looks like a fairly flat circuit, not much elevation change.
You need to visit us here in the states and come to Road Atlanta or VIR and see some elevation change and some really blind turns

Good pictures - how did you do in the event?
at first glance i thought it was a real easy circuit but some turns really scared me
after a couple of laps i learned it and i was getting used to it.
I got there early and my 3rd/4th clutch was acting up so i left early , i had to travel back
around 80 miles in 2nd but it was a great ride, i like drag racing much more than lap courses. I will be back on the streets hopefully with a Dana 44 and a rebuilt tranny.
Thanks !
Your other vid you posted last month showed smoke coming from the same location. Maybe thats the source of your trans issue?
Drive it like you stole it!
Yes, how many locations are possible for a leak like that ?
might be the rear seal ? i suspected it came from the little tube
on top of the trans but i have to make sure where is this coming frm
is not normal that on hard turns, fluid gets out of the trans !
I spent around $ 100 on gas to travel to the track, you are right, i was a bit afraid, im not used to hard turns on my car, im afraid to lose control and damage it , Quarter mile races are so much more easy on the car !
Thanks , i want to replace / upgrade most of the stuff
Last time in 2008 i bought a B&M Transkit which i was told
it was not the best, it holds up very good for 3 years and im sure
the fluid issue was the problem, this time im watching some new servo , better than the corvette servo 50% more pressure it says ...
and blue plate clutches ...i need to decide real well what i will do

What are you running for tires? Sounds like they are breaking loose quite often.
Good luck with the tranny and D44, that engine sure sounds sweet!!
it happened before when i installed my new converter
but i thought it was happening because it was overfilled.
i think the ATF i was using its not sythetic ! I think the vent
is spilling fluid as well , check this video from a couple of months ago
and it was smoking heavy !

Sumitomo HTRZ II fronts , Nitto 555R Drag Radials on rear
Now ...thinking again, trans survived only 2 years, i was thinking 3
but my car was parked from sept 2009 to sept 2010 !
Something is wrong there, i don't understand why it does spill fluid on hard turns !
So, from your previous videos I assumed you were driving a stick. I don't do any track driving myself. Is it common to use automatics on road courses or just a matter of using what you got? Are you up/down shifting or letting the auto take care of that?

An automatic on a road course is not unheard of, I've instructed several students with autos. One thing to watch is the fluid gets hot real fast, if you are going to do it often a seperate cooler is a suggested modification.
For others that complain about only being able to get on track in an HPDE or PDX setting only - its the local track management. I know of at least one track in West VA that does a friday open track. There are other organizations that concentrate on HPDE only and even in their structured event you'll get more track time - and even some good instruction!
The pics (and new air dam) look good, by the way.
I'll just have to watch the vids on one of the XP machines---this is a work computer so I can't really ask IT to get the forum vids working.
