It is becoming a way of life in this country these days. It doesn't seem to be the same place with the same values that I grew up in.

There were and have always been a few "bad apples" in the world but now it appears that their ways of ruining things for others is gaining momentum and popularity...a big part of the reason, (I feel) reminds me of an old Frank Zappa tune from the 'Overnight Sensation' album called "I'm the Slime". It makes a statement about the programming on television and how people come to believe that it is the way to live. He truly was a man of vision even though a bit warped at times but he was spot on with his assessment of the television and it's effect on people. It is worse today than it ever was, right down to the advertizing.

Sadly thats what full coverage insurance is for. Walmart should help with cameras if not then thats a shame. Still, our Corvettes are designed to drive. Their soul wants to go fast, corner, stop hard and then do it again. It would be a shame to not ever drive it when you want to just because of thugs and azzes. And to the haters.....go to work like all of us here on this forum and even you can own one.

I've seen the derelicts wait 20 minutes for a parking spot up front just so they don't have to waddle an extra 30'.

Snowbirds passing through off of I-10.

Some of the Class A's cost as much as my house. Diesel pushers with automatic leveling, 30' power awnings, diesel generators, full size washer and dryer, you name it. Condos on wheels. There are usually at least a couple camped out at my local Wally World.

I see them when I'm cruising for 48 year old chicks (if I struck out at the laundromat)..

...and it's not just our cars. I'm a Public Service Officer for the local Sheriff's Office. Got a call from a disabled lady in a 2009 Ford Focus. She was in the very first disabled parking slot right outside Wal-Mart's front door and someone keyed her entire side of the car.

Went to Wal-Mart and sat down with the Security Officer in front of the screen showing all the cameras (12 in all). Turns out the camera in front of the front doors were looking left and right but NOT straight out to the row where she was parked. Couldn't see anything.

I have to say the value of ALL of the campers I usually see there in the mornings wouldn't total $1250.00! The only customers at Walmart that have anything worth $125,000 are the illegals who don't even speak English.

Sorry everyone for not following up with my original post. Right after I posted, my 240 gallon fish tank blew out. Had to have a carpet cleaner to come and suck up all of the water from my carpet and dry the padding underneath. All fish were saved. Anyways, when my car was keyed, I called the police and wanted for them to come (because it wasn't a first priority. While waiting I saw a Walmart security guard driving around. I flagged him down and tried to explain to him about what happened. Just my luck, he couldn't speak English. I at least got him to write my name down. I then went to speak to the manager and was told that they didn't have camera that far in the parking lot. Police come, took a statement and wrote up a police report. The police officer was polite but told me that they probably won't catch the person responsible. He also said that even if they caught someone keying another car in the parking lot, that they won't have any evidence that the person keyed my car. I guess I will be talking my Saturn to Walmart from now on. Thanks for everyone's replies and stories about Walmart, Ed.

I feel your pain about the destruction. I am glad you have another vehicle. As nearly I can tell my Corvette, named "Beauty" is extremely useless.....no room for anything like groceries or etc., and cannot be left alone anywhere. Brenda and I now shall go to drive-in type eating establishments more McDonalds, Sonic, etc.

We have a Ford Escape for local trips. I/we live in supposedly a "good" area but realize that we were safer in El Sereno, East Los Angeles.

I'm sorry about your car. The feeling of not having any security is about as bad as the cost to repair your car. A lot of people here legally carry guns and as has been said, an armed society is a polite society.

I park my lowly C4 among the new Z06s, Grand Sports, Benzes, Bimmers, Jags, and Aston Martins at the Wal Mart halfway between my place and work. Lawyers and oil barons must shop there. The city was voted the most stuck up place in the US and it's not even in California. Edmond, OK. Vagabonds aren't allowed to homestead there and the store is pretty nice. The prices and sales taxes are 15% cheaper than the store nearer to my place.

Have you guys watched the coverage of the rioters in England? The same type of class-warfare have vs. have nots is being propagated here in he US too. And it goes without saying that the have-nots are generally way too stupid to comprehend that the new Kia they bought at the BHPH lot cost more than most C4 Corvettes.

The only thing that gives me hope that the US will never disintegrate to that level is the second amendment and it is under constant assault.

And Robert, while I agree Edmond is a pretty nice place (I am in okc for work from time to time) but come on....when it comes to white trash at Wal-Mart let's just say Oklahoma is not immune!

Exactly! I'm doing my best to educate my friends about this fact.

Worst that can happen is we get more Vette's in the area, hehe.

This morning at my dental appt, the receptionist asked me a question, I didn't hear her at first, then heard "vet", and thought she asked me if I was a vet (which I am), then she said "No, is that your Vette?" Ha!

She then asked if it was a '95. I was surprised she knew the year, turns out she's got a '95! We had a nice chat and she told me of a nearby Vette place for parts and service. Unfortunately, I still had to go in and get my teeth cleaned, but it was a nice start for the day.

Sorry to hear what happened there.
Walmart really attracts the lowest trash of people.

We had Walmart in Germany too, but they closed them down after a few years because there low quality products and employee treatment did not work overhere...I never missed it.
