My book (1987 owner's manual) states to place the jack on the jack point--is this marked by the triangles molded into the flange?
Do I place the jack under the flange? Will the flange support the weight?????
When I got new tires recently, Discount Tires was very careful--jacked the car with four floor jacks and had the doors open and the hood up. Apparently they had cracked a Corvette at some time. I think it was a coupe.
I wish tire places would get over the "remove the roof and open everything" hangup. The C4 is a lot stiffer with the top bolted down. I can jack up one corner of the car and lift the whole front or rear and still open & shut all the doors. The tire shops are stuck in the 60's with those "stiff as a tortilla" C2's & C3's!
