on my 94 coupe my passenger side window wont go down. either switch will not make it go down. I have power to the passenger side switch and to the fuse. the driver side works fine. where do I need to look.
i have the almost the same problem on the opposite side. My drivers side all of sudden wont go up on my 92. Which fuse goes to the power windows?
I'll watch your thread first before starting my own though.
there are some bigger circuit breakers on the side of the fuse box. its labeled power windows. I am not sure if one bad switch will not make it work . I would like to know before Carlisle
The switches are the normal problem area. These use a "point" type contact to complete the circuit and a little corrosion makes them a no go. Use search feature on forum as this subject has been covered in detail many times.
The FSM details out how to check and determine which item is bad. This is a good place to start. If not good on diagnostics........replace the switch on passenger side which will run around $80 from many of the vendors. I just went thru the entire process and discovered it was the regulator motor. The motor is riveted onto the regulator and sells for about $40. They also sell the entire window regulator and motor assembly which I believe is around $180.
Hope you are handy at mechanics as C-4's can get costly to maintain.
More info.........the search function will find the information on how to clean the switch contact points also. Name escapes my recall.....there is another owner on here that will exchange a re-worked switch with you for very reasonable dollars.
