Radio problem/question
The antenna only goes down once in a great while.... Why is that?
I took apart the dash and when i put the antenna on the radio it worked fine. once i turned it off and back on it messed up all over again..
Do i need to have it rebuilt?. I know i can put an aftermarket one in there but i want to keep it original. and pioneer/alpine is not original..
Do I have the option of putting a newer c4 radio in there with the cd-player will that work?
94-96 Camaro Bose CD player bolts right in, and there is a wire harness adaptor made just for the conversion. There are several on Ebay right now under Camaro Bose CD player. If you go to www.carstereohelp.com then click Corvette, then How to trouble shoot, then 1989 and older, it will show you what Bose radio, and they even have the adaptor harness forsale. The site is a big help. Hope this helps you out. I won one on Ebay a month ago, complete gone over, with a new NOS face plate for $200. It looks like new, but I haven't installed it yet.
most 90s GM radios WILL FIT....but the '93-'96 Camaro Bose CD is almost stock looking, lights even match when on.....keep the ***** from your original radio and put them on the new CD radio and it will look even better...I have one in my '85 and one in my '86....work great.
Best of luck.
