Default 84 side trim

Hello All

Starting a mild restoration on an 84. More questions will come later but at this time I am wounding if the early 90’s side trim is removable and would it work on an 84. I do not like the side bumpers on the 84. On you tube a custom painted corvette they fill this area in but I’m leery of this do to future cracks.

Thanks

Well I had to go out and find out for myself about the side trim on a 91 corvette. The doors and the short quarter trims look like they may work. The 91 corvette front and rear bumpers are molded not like the 84 with removable trim pieces. Also the side vents are molded. This will change my path to plan two, unless I find some cheap front and rear bumpers and side vents. As you all know we should not but a lot of money in an 84.
I am very disappointed that I had to go out and find my own answer to my simple question. After reading other comments on this web site I thought there was some knowledge. I was wrong! I’ll try another question again someday.

May I suggest that with that attitude you be very careful with any responses you get. Just saying........

If you really want an answer just ask it over in OT next time, the most knowledgeable C4 types usually hang out over there. As far as your question, the rear bumper trim for a 91-95 ZR-1 is bolted on,its just not cheap. How about $1000 for the set, used.
