I got my 1986 corvette last saturday. I spend all day just going over the car. to see what need to be done.
one thing that call my atention.was the front suspention.
the front of the car is way to low. and the rear suspention look way to hi. or maybe is the efect of the front suspention been to low. that make it seen that way
any way my question is. if the front suspention supost to be that low???. or there is something wrong ???? (the car have new front shocks.)
please see picture. and tell me waht you think

Gravity plus 25 years have lowered your Vette. It may also has been lowered but, it looks good like that. The rear can be lowered by buying longer bolts. Look into Mid America, they sell them.
the problem is that the car is to low for me. if I pass a spend boop at slow speed the lower part of the car will hit the concret. I thing if I change the fiberglass front spring it will solf the problem. dont know please let me know what you think

whats up with that wing?
I just got the car last saturday. and it came with the wing. Iam not to creazy about it. but I think I can get use to it
Yeah, they are pretty low & your car may have been lowered, it's hard to tell from a picture. On most bumps the part that's scraping is plastic and can be replaced.
There is an air-shock system for sale at Corvette Central, but it's expensive and I haven't seen any posts from anyone who has it.
I'd suggest a new front spring, yours is either very worn, or could be broken. I'd get it in the air and check the front spring for any cracks. It is common to just have them start to sag over the years, though.

Those damn things tend to part and go bad. Mine has a nice crack running across it now. I'll be replacing it soon....
I'd first try adding the longer lowering bolts in the rear and adjusting the rear height down. You could do this in just a couple of hours, very easy to do. If that doesn't help try adding a little more rubber underneath front spring ends to raise the front of car a little. this could be done by simply zip striping the added rubber on under stock spring ends. I found my car to be very uneven so I adjusted all 4 corners the way I wanted them. You do have to come at bumps at a slight angle if you know they are coming to be safe and keep from hitting as much. Good Luck Tim

The wing will compensate for the low nose at speed.
Get a set of long bolts for the rear and drop it one inch.
It will take a few attempts to get the right amount of drop AND keep the rear level.
Not to worry you can't do anything wrong. Heck, you don't even need to jack it up if your less than 200 pounds.
Take your measurements from the fender lip to the ground on a level surface. Use the center of the axle as reference. Drive it a few hundred yards in between adjustments. Since your dropping the rear the nose will lift so keep measurements on front and rear.
I shopped around and found some grade 8 bolts that were 3" longer than the factory, at a hardware supply shop and fibrelock nuts to match. This ain't rocket science, so all that's needed is longer bolts.
i cant see anyone going through the trouble of lowering the front, and then leaving the back all jacked up like that being as the back is a million times easier then the front. im going with the worn out front spring
Hi every one thank you for all your feedback. First of all I will have to visualy inspect the front fiber srping. I think that is the problem. if I confirm front spring is damage. I will replaced . I dont like the idea. of modify the perfect condition rear suspention. to compensated for a damage front suspention.

i agree, might as well fix it the right way rather then half-a$$ it just to make it look acceptable
