Default C4 advice

Hi all,
I am currently a C5 FRC owner. I happened upon a 92 Corvette lt1 a4 with mileage in the 50k range. It is a black coupe with white and black interior in very good to excellent condition. The owner is willing to trade it for a Harley-Davidson. I have a very low mileage Ultra Classic I have been thinking of selling but may be willing to trade for this car.
I am very familiar with the C5 but not so much the C4 generation. Does anyone have any advice concerning what to look for when purchasing one of these beautiful machines? Book value seems to be about even.
I love my FRC and fully intend to keep it but the C4 was the generation I grew up seeing on the road so I have a soft spot for them.
Also is the black ext w/white int. a rare combo? I personally have never saw one like this so I am drawn to this one even more.
Thanks!

Kinda new to the C4 generation also but what I'd check is the weatherstripping(can be expensive.. especially if bought OEM) and maintenance type work such as ignition and cooling system.

Thanks for the quick response! I remember something about the opti spark being an issue but what is up with the cooling system? Were there issues?
I would definitely look for any dry rot on the weather stripping. It has new tires and brakes (according to the owner).
Keep em coming guys! Thanks again!

Opti-spark is an problem because of the vents on the cap.. mine runs a little "odd" in the rain but doesn't cause any issues. Just can feel the engine idling not so smooth and kinda makes me say "Hmmm" as I watch the tach and listen for misfires. I've heard once is starts going out it just dies.. no symptoms prior. Haven't looked into it too much but modifications can be made to solve this issue for little to no cost.

I said cooling system just because sounds like the cars going to hit 60k soon and it's already almost 20 years old.. heard of pumps going out kinda early on LT1 cars but no experience with the matter, mine was already replaced prior to me buying it.

the blue books don't count for much. I have been looking for a while for the corvette for me and it seems that they are going for book or below, I sold a ultra classic last year (92 16k mi, book was like $4800 went for $8900 on the "bay") might be in your best interest to put it up before you jump. but if you are happy with being rid of it, enjoy

Could be a lesser built color combo but dont go thinking its rare meaning worth bux. Gonna be a long time before these cars are worth anything which is GOOD!! Cheap way into a sportscar.
How much is the bike worth?
