My factory original lasted 8 years. My new OEM factory replacement rusted out in less than 2 years. :mad I'd suggest going with stainless steel.

That sounds like a problem of dis-similar metals setting up a galvanic cell and corroding through. Either go with all stainless or all aluminized, don't mix metals.

Does "aluminized" pipe really contain any aluminum??
