I need to have my front and rear bumper painted with WA 9075-Gm Torch red. Not sure why but the clear coat and the paint has completely worn down on these two parts of the car and it looks terrible. The rest of the car is in fantastic shape. I am having trouble locating anybody that sells it in quarts. Everyone just sells it in a touch up pen or spray can. Any help appreciated.

I had a local paint jobber mix me up a quart of Steel Blue Metallic for my 91 with no problem. They also did a pint of the paint that they used on the Champagne '03 anniversary wheels for me.
Should not be too big a problem once you give them your paint code.
Any automotive paint suppy should be able to sell you a quart. When I painted my 86 I purchased the base coat on line at http://www.autobodysupply.net/ They had the best price I could find for a quality paint (Diamont).
Thanks for all the responses and the different links. I'm from South Carolina . Just a little history about the 93' vette. My Dad bought the car brand new in 1993 for my mom as a birthday gift. She drove it for ten years all thru out my high school days and well into college. They eventually parked it in a storage unit where it sat for years. When I returned home from overseas and needed a car . . . they gave me the keys. It still runs great. The only real complaint is that I have to use 93 octane gas or she will spudder. I will post some pics so you guys can check it out. I know youll appreciate a real classic
Here is what I would do.
Go to a local paint supply store and see if they do spray outs. If they do, remove your gas door lid and take it to them. Each paint color has variants and can be tinted to match. Then paint it. If you can't paint, take the color to a body shop.
Thanks RGL . .that is a great idea. I found a paint store in the next town over but he wants 250 bucks for a quart of the gm torch red. If I'm gonna pay that much for match paint I think I'll have my golf cart sprayed to match. lol
Checked all the local auto part stores and none had the correct paint.
I placed an order with Automotivetouchup.com for the following:
12 oz Aerosol High Gloss Clear Coat
(2)12 oz Aerosol Spray Paint, 1993 Chevrolet Corvette: Torch Red WA9075
12 oz. Easy sanding automotive GREY
Assorted Wet Sandpaper Pack
I am going to give it a go and hope for the best. I will post the before and after pics once its completed.
I started my weekend project today. My goal is to sand down the top portion of my front bumper and re paint it. I started by using the rough side of an SOS pad and some dawn dish liquid to clean the area of grease and dirt. I then popped the hood and taped of the area i was working on. I then started by using320 grit sandpaper and started sanding. Sanded for about 10 minutes and realized that I wasn't making any real progress. I then switched to 180 which worked much better. I sanded for another 15 minutes and then started adding water which seemed to help a great deal.
All the clear coat is almost gone and the area is pretty smooth so I should be ready to spray it with primer after another 10 minutes of wet sanding tomorrow. I couldnt figure out how to add the progress pics to this post so ill put them in "My Corvette Photos"

Just wanted to give you guys an update and share the positive results I have experianced in an attempt to paint my front bumper. I had access to a big garage today, no rain, and no humidity so here it goes . . . . started of by wiping the surface clean. Then taped everything off an applied 3 coats of dupli-color adhesion promoter. Let set for approximately 30 minutes and then applied 4 coats of sandable primer. Let set for close to an hour. Proceeded to wet sand with 600 grit paper until it was as smooth as silk. I am pleased with the outcome thus far. Please see pics
