Default Alternator problems/voltage drop

Had alternator reubuilt and bench tested regulator and alternator and bench tests come out ok. When high drain current is pulled (AC) voltage drops to dangerously low level when idling at intersection. Looked for open grounds and can't figure out problem. Corvette is 86. Please help.

Take is to another shop (O'Reilly's/Autozone) have them check it out also then see what you got. Had my Rebuilt this spring and while on road trip hit a hard bump in the road and then was putting out 18.1 volts just a little HIGH, turned everything on that I could so I could make it the next 200 miles and next day took it off and in had it checked out and was now under voltage!

Good Luck wro87

I don't if you had your battery tested as well. Could have a weak cell even though it may seem o/k it may not be.
