Bad VSS Install?
I just removed and replaced VSS on my '94 C4, along with changing tranny fluid (didn't look or smell burnt)and filter. It was suggested that I do this because my speedo wasn't working and tranny wasn't shifting (but not winding out) into 3rd gear and beyond. After doing this work on it, I test drove it and now the tranny sounds like it's winding out but not shifting. I then used a jumper wire to pull up any diag codes. Module 1 (CCM) showed code C12, Module 4 (ECM) showed DTC codes H24 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit) and H72 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Loss). I then cleared these codes and test drove the car again, but it the tranny still just winded out and didn't shift like before. I then re-checked the diag codes, but no codes came up. I don't know if maybe I didn't install VSS correctly or if I have a whole new problem now. Does anyone have any suggestions or insight ? Any help would be appreciated before I take it to a shop, thanks.
