Default Black interior units

So, I asked this question in my "interior project" thread, but noone answered. Hell, it has over 1K hits and noone has replied in a few weeks... ya'll just take take take.

Anyways, the plan for the interior is set. New seats will come in 2 tone red in center and black outside. New door panels will be black with red accents. The paint job will match with a black primary and red accent on the sides of the hood lift. Cool, ready to go, need money.

So... most of the interior is going to be black (I'll try to get the years correct, forgive me if I don't). 90 and 91 produced grey center consoles. So far, I have dyed all of my interior parts black. Shift console, stereo bezel and vents came out great! It goes along with the stereo adapter I have. But now, I'm looking at the A/C control unit and the HUD control unit and they are.... grey! It would be easy enough to pull them apart and dye them... but they letters would be gone. Looks like I'm going for new!.

I found some parts for a 92-93. They had a black center console. I can get them new for fairly cheap and I don't have to do any work to them. But... will they fit? Does anyone have a Corvette from both styles who can compare the 2? It would be a great help.

Thanks!

Look at the center dash of a 90-91 then look at a center dash of 92-93. That will answer your question

That's what I'm asking. I only own a 91 and I'm in Italy. I don't really have much to compare to...

Counsol back should be the same. The lids definately are. The differences is the dash, and the color.

Great. I just needed some confirmation. Everyone lists them separately and it's good to know that someone agrees that they are interchangeable. Only the color is the difference. I knew that they changed only tiny details between the design, but the details are what can screw you over.
