Hey guys I had a question about redoing some interior pannels and covering them with some swade or some other fabric has anyone done this bofore and if so some pics would be nice in helping me decide what to do thanks.
You would be better off just looking at different cars modified to get your ideas. While I am sure there are some folks here that have done this I havent really seen any C4 specifics. If your gonna have a shop do the interior talk to them about ideas.
My '92 has a custom interior including carbon fiber and custom leather. If you want to see pics of it google "C4orce2" and look for the photobucket. The main album and the album entitled "build of C4orce2" both have a few pics of the interior. Not sure if this color carbon fiber is available anymore. Most of the interior work was done about 5 or 6 years ago by a shop in Phoenix that is now out of business. Hope this helps.
The you can honestly say you get felt up in your car.
Groan!!!
"swade"
Since the total failure of our educational system, I think we may as well go to phonetical spelling. There are way too many smart folks that can't spell worth a darn but you can learn from them.
Ps. if the image links in the thread do not work anymore the images are in my website (link in the end of post 1 in the interior thread). Refer to the thread for the story as thats not in my website.
Holy crap. I wish I had the room to do all of this... I thought my interior rebuild was interesting......
Anyways...
You can do whatever you want to your C4. That's why we own them. Noone will complain that your personal style is "ruining a classic" like some of the C1-C3 guys. No one will bitch at you for "messing up a new car!!!" like the C5 an C6 guys. Yes, even the C5 guys complain to each other when they mess with the interior.
If you are going to do fabric rather than carpet, get a sheet of 1/8 inch upholstery pad. Remove carpet. Cut it to size and use some spray can adhesive to attach it. Use some sand paper to bevel the edge and make it nice and smooth. Use same glue to put on fabric. When dry, cut the edges with a VERY sharp razor blade to get it as close to perfect as possible. Then, use a bottle of really strong adhesive, and glue in piping where the seam of the fabric is to cover the edge. As with everything, go slow, take your time, and you won't waste your time.
Oh, and by the way..

Phonetical isn't actually a word. You would say, "we need to go to the phonetic alphabet."
I know it has been awhile but how did your interior come out? Any pictures? I am thinking of redoing my interior over the summer with vinyl/faux leather.
