88 hood support --help --
just replaced the hoodupport on my 88 as the old one stopped working.. Ita a new support ,,, Problem is,, Now I can,make it release to lower the hood,, Can,t get it to twist,,, ANY THOUGHTS,, before I remove it or break it??

It doesn't twist.
Just move the lower portion outboard a bit and the upper part will drop down inside of the lower part. Hang on to the hood while you're doing this.
You may have to raise the hood slightly first.

I talked with the place I bought it from and they told me to send it back.. They actually had a few that have been faulty.. Said they would make sure to verify the next one is working before its sent to me .. It does let the hood come down , but only slightly..
