130K and counting. Needed one new clutch, rear wheel bearings, 6 U-joints, heater core, radiator, 4 Bose amps. Alternator (2 ea.) pwr. steering pump, smog pump, water pump. And other misc. (sport seat bolsters) etc. :nopity

1984 Corvette, 142K, original motor with no rebuild, burns no oil, runs like a top. Take good care of them, fix whatever breaks, and these cars will run virtually forever.

I'm planning on running it at the West Coast Corvette Challenge drag races this Saturday, May 4th...We'll see how much abuse this tired L98 can handle....

So how are the cars holding up, as you get to 100? I mean are the cars still fairly reliable or have you all had to rebuild the engines by then?

My 87 is running great with its new owner at 192k +, original motor. Almost all of what I put on it was pure highway, since my fiance lives 110 miles from me, one way. I used to go down 3-4 times a week for almost a year there. So it saw 4k miles a month easy for a while and never missed a beat. What a great car!! :cheers:

122,000 on my '93! Only had to rebuild the transmission just recently. Next comes the optispark, waterpump, and timing chain. And maybe by Christmas all the necessities will be fixed and i can get me a new set of ZR1 rims!! :D
