Default front leaf suspension question (pic inside)

Hi. the picture below is from a corvette c5 front suspension. as you can see you have a bolt to ajust the height of the car.

I like to know if the c4 have that same ajustment bolt?? (like the one in the picture.??)

I wish it did but.....no it doesn't. You've gotta pull the spring drop suspension to gt it off, cut wedges, glue on wedges etc. Lot of replies to this can be found in the search including at least on pictorial. It took me about 5 hours using a lift. But boy it does look better. It looked like a 4WD before compared to now.

thank you for the fast reply.

but I dont want to lower the car I want to get the front higher. or drop the back.

Iam considering lowering the rear. since the front is so dificult to lift.

the only problem is I dont know if my bolts on the rear suspension are long enough.

You can buy longer rear bolts and that's all you need to lower it. It take about 30 minutes and is just as easy as changing out those 2 bolts. If you have a supply house around the size that would work would be 14mm x 280mm. Try to get the grade 8 bolts. They're harder.

the problem I have now. every time I step on the gas. not need to go all the way just regular driving. the rear sping very easy. I think is because the rear is to light weight. feel like I dont have a good grip in the rear

Many of the lowering kits come with a nylon locking nut. You don't need the drilled "security pin". You could also use two nuts to lock it if that bothers you.

the rear spring very easy.
I've not heard that too often. You may want to check your spring and shocks while you're under there changing the bolts. Something could be wrong. You need to get a good grip on your rear. Does it spin the tires pretty easily?

I'm glad you got your car running. Did the mechanic fix it? How do you like driving a Corvette? Does your wife let you go cruising all by yourself and look at the senorita's bonitas.

I can get nylon nuts here. I think I will use those. also I know my rear shocks are not good. a big clanking noice coming out of the top rear suspension.
