I noticed that you do not have the front license plate cover for your ZR-1. Are you looking to get a replacement? Or do you need to have a Virginia Tag up front?
Well....yeah, VA requires two plates as well as TX I believe where it orginially came from...so it was missing the front filler thing. :( I was thinking of ordering a new one off of ebay but will have to paint it. Do you have one for me?? :D I am going to try to rough it without a front plate and see how many times I get stopped (probably a lot). If it gets too bad I'll put the dang thing on. So I have neither right now, and I know it looks ghetto but I don't have much choice.

There is a guy driving his '89 up here in N. Seattle with the filler in the front and the front license plate bolted to the airdam underneath. That's the way I'm gonna go.
I don't run one either. Just take my chances. So far so good. Most cops really have better things to do, they usually just nail ya for it if you get stopped for somethin' else. :seeya

I just might. Here is a picture of a little something I am working on.
Maybe I can do a clear one to go over the front tag. Hmmm
NOOO!! I want that one!! That is AWESOME!! Did you make that from scratch?? That is bad azz!! OOOH OOOH!!!!     How much??? :p:
I have a clear cover. Keeps it legal and it keeps the line of the car.
There is no question that it looks better without the plate and having teh plug in.
In NJ, we need the front plate, but some guys don't put the front plate on, it gives them a little bargaining power for when they get pulled over for something else.
I mean how does a cop know what state you are from unless he comes up from behind? So if you are speeding and get pulled over, you can sweet talk the police officer and most times he'll write a non points ticket for no license plate instead of a speeding ticket. You know something like that.
Nope, :( but they are working on it now I've heard. And Mojo, they see your inspection and county sticker on your windshield and they can tell it's a VA car at least, with no tag on the front :( :(. I have never had to pay a fine, knock on wood, but been hassled at toll booths (cops stand there for county sticker and inspection sticker checks) and pulled over specifically for that. :cuss
I put on the front plate then used a strip of velcro on the bottom of the cover to hold it on over the plate. Hopefully, if I get stopped I can pop it off and claim I was just at a show and forgot to remove the cover:eek:.
Might work a time or two. So far, I haven't been stopped.
I have never put a front plate on it after 3 years of owning it. I have gotten pulled over 2 times for it but never got a ticket for it .... i think they just needed a reason to pull me over..a young guy, black vette must be up to no good...for the record i have been pulled over for having a air freshner hanging from my rear view mirror they said it could obstruct my view they where following me for about 2 miles before they decided to get me for it
