found 85' 8yrs. wet garage blown motor 4+3 mice+corrosion want to save this car. needs wiring. replaced motor with 87' carb. same trans. no electronics any help? thank you.
If it was worth saving it would have been done.
Parts car at best.
With all that, I don't know if it will even be a parts car.
What electronics are missing? Just the ECM and such, or is the interior trashed?
If the interior is in good shape, I would say sell the Carb, head to a junkyard, and get an LT. There might be a wreck there that has a running motor. Just pull it out and fit it in. Make sure the wiring harness connections will fit the firewall plugs. It will still be a lot of work, but it'll probably be the best step 1 you can do to save her.
call painless wiring, they have a web sight, you will not be sorry, wire it to a 74 or earlier, very little smog. BTW carb wiring can be very simple, if you just want to run it, then put in a main 12volt source and wire all the accessories to that. 74 was one of the early years for the hei distributer, an early one from a junk yard will run $40, keep that , its the best thing they did, cept for the small block.

Ol Dude on the right track. The only extra thing you will hafta worry about is the OD unit on the 4+3. Its electronically switched and also is tied to temp senders. I dont know exactly how this info is processed thru the ECM or other components. I suppose you could make it all manual control but without getting the FSM and sorting thru it I cant tell ya whats involved.

all it would take is a switch, the painless comes with 'complete' instructions, and they have a girl who works there who can walk you thru the head scratchin parts

ECM operates a relay that sends power to o/d solenoid.
All you need is a manual switch to operate said relay ( if still in place )
alternatively a fused switched supply direct to O/d solenoid
