Default No HEAT!

95 coupe. I have no heat. It doesnt smell bad inside the car like the heater core is busted. I had a problem with it last week with overheating but after i got all the air out of the system it cools just fine. I put a 160 degree stat in it, so it the gauge is always reading around 185 on the highway. AC works great and car does not get hot with it on. It is gonna be cool down here in FL real soon so I need heat. Thank you for your help

Pull the blower control module out , look in hole and see if the blend door moves when temp setting are changed

If not , check blend door motor
'89 shown , yours is in similar position
IIRC ;later models are direct to door , don't have the link rod shown
between motor and door

Good post, vetteoz. Thanks for the photos and explanation. I'm in Iowa where it really gets cold, not like Florida cold.

My 95 is blowing cold all of the time. AC comes on no matter what temp setting, or control position. I'll start by checking the blend door.

Thanks Again.

LO RonRock if you lived in the south all your life you would be cold too and I hope and pray I never have to go anywhere that has below 55 degree weather and hope I never have to experience that stuff you guys call snow. that stuff ruins a good detail job in minutes!

Good to see you got the humor. I love Florida temps and look forward to the time when I retire and head south where they don't even know what a snow shovel is. I was just in Coca Beach and Daytona last July. Loved the area.

I checked my "Blend Door" and it was open for cold air. It was bouncing a little like it was trying to move but had no power. I was able to reach in and move it with a screwdriver to the heat position, then of course had heat.

So does that indicate that the door motor has gone bad? Or the AC Programer is not working correctly? I checked the diagnostics and the code 24 shows 128. My FSM tells me to do voltage checks next, but I don't have my DVM with me at the moment. If I open the door to the heat position it seems to stay put. There don't seem to be any binding on the door or excessive drag. Not much in the FSM about how to diagnose the AC Programmer.

Any suggestions?
