Default Wiring/Lighting Issues

I am having a few Electrical Problems with my 1992 Coupe (not ZR1)

i have posted a YouTube Video for visual description of issues.

these issues developed if memory serves me correctly after the GM Dealership replaced my Clamshell Hood after the frontal impact (someone hit my parked vette.)
initially the left cornering light did not operate but i was able to fix that.

here is a set of new issues.
please take a look and post if you think you can help.

Thanks,
Zach.

*My thoughts are is that the driver side flasher is bad*

If by flasher you mean a relay, I agree. If somone can find it in the FSM, it should be an easy fix if you can find that relay.

did you check all fuses? relays ?

how did you fix the cornering light ?

I experienced almost the same problem with a trans am and there was water inside the turn signal which caused a short. a short made the turn signal not flashing , but if I'm not mistaken it wasn't working.

check the wiring

Your left turn signal issue might be caused by damaged or corroded wiring/ground at the front light socket. The dim indicator on the dash could be a result of the front left bulb filament acting as a ground in the absence of the actual ground connection. Remember that an incandescent bulb is really a path to ground in a DC circuit. I would check there first. If by "flasher" you mean the relay that makes the lights flash, there is only one, not a left and right. If it were burned out, you would have no directionals or hazard flahers at all.

The front turn signal/parking lamp bulb has two filaments. If the turn signal
filament is blown, you'll have the symptoms you described.

The bulb is a 2057NA.

Default Thanks

I'll take a look on friday when I have a day off.
Thanks for all your help.
I'll start with replacing the bulb to reading wires etc.

I'll post when I make some progress.

As for your problem when you open the door and the Brake light indicator comes on instead of the Door Ajar.

Someone has swapped in a later model dash cluster.

You can identify 90-93 dash clusters because the lettering was orange. 94-96 the lettering was white.

Part numbers.
90 Dash Cluster 16133431
91 Dash Cluster 16152451
92-93 Dash Cluster 16158831
94 Dash Cluster 16168821
95-96 16182631

So if you want plug in play, a 92 or 93 dash cluster is what you want.
