I'm looking at a '92 next week. Owner said the headlight is "intermittent."
Can anyone clue me in as to what is takes and how much it will cost me to replace vacuum lines, motor and whatever else it takes to get the lights to pop up on a C4?
If it is the bushings in one motor, they cost $ 6.00 or less and take a couple of hours to replace the first time you do it. If the plastic gear is stripped, a bronze gear is about $ 25.00. If it is something else, who knows?. If you are paying 10K the car should be under 40000 miles and in excellent condition all around. In April I bought this 92 with 49,500 miles on it for $ 8300. Nice outside, excellent interior, runs great.

you can get later year C4's for that, 95-96, 92-93 were transition years, lots of issues, use the search function and look for that year in tech and general, then look in the for sale section of this site, you can not only see the cars , but you can see what kind of work has been done. alot of these members baby their cars, and only sell to upgrade to a later year
