negative battery cable
My negative battery cable. is plug to a bolt on the alternator. ( this is wrong)
I need to know exactely where the negative battery cable goes on the 1986 vette.
Some time ago. a forum memeber told me that goes in the rear of the engine.
but Iam having problem to pin point the exact location. also is hard to reach area.
if any body can help me with this information it will be apreciate

The negative cable does bolt to the rear of the block using one of the bellhousing bolts. IIRC, the bolt that is used is behind and below the driver's side cylinder head. Definitely hard to reach but it can be done.
You can actually use any of the bellhousing bolts that are easy to reach. Just make sure that the connection point and the cable end is clean and dry.
