Radiator Issues

I bought an uliminum radiator from a forum member and its supposed to be 87-91with auto tranny. Well I brought it to the shop and they are saying its for up to an 89 and unsure how it could fit( said something about modifying the filler neck because of the resouvare). I emailed the forum member and he said lowering it an inch and a half could work possible. Any other ideas? I have to tell the mechanic by monday, he is trying to push me into buying a different one.

the grouping for radiator's is 84-89 , 90 and up with small changes, not 87-91, get your money back, get the right one, next time do research

Ask for your money back and buy the right radiator for your car.
