Fix Center Console Rubber Trim
Mine has come loose, and I'm trying to figure out a good way to get it stuck back in place.
ANY good advice is welcome. I've tried Super80, tried some other glues, etc. I just can't seem to get it to stick good and stay stuck.
It originally had some foam under it, but that's all worn out now... Hence why it's coming loose.
To fix the edge, I removed any loose foam on the inside and applied a generous amount of a good black silicone caulk/adhesive, being careful to not get any on a visible surface(I applied masking tape first as extra insurance). Fold over the edge and tape to hold the position making sure the edge is staight and there are no waves. Leave any squeeze out on the inside for now and remove when it is dry. I let the side dry overnight.
The repair has worked perfectly for me and shows no signs of failing.

Did you use the same black caulk/sealer that you would use for weatherstripping? Or what did you use?
I guess I'll try removing the entire side piece. I didn't think it was removable. So the one screw on the side is all that holds it in place?

There are a lot of screws:
There are 3 screws on the tunnel on the carpet part.
Under the console lid there are 2 screws.
There are 2 screws under the console shift trim plate which you have to remove.
There are 2 or 3 screws under the carpet at the front of the panel under the dash. I think the carpet has a velcro fastener so you can pull it down to access the screws.
If you have access to a service manual(1992) page 8c-13 shows the console diagram
