Default window adjustment

my passenger door window is off, when I close the window all the way the front of the glass goes up slightly more than it should, and then when you open or close the door it hits the netal corner in the front of the roof.
How does one adjust this?

Default First, make sure the plastic window stop is not broken

You'll need to remove the door panel, look inside. check to see if a piece of plastic is in the bottom of the door or perhaps hanging loose.

Mine broke and I had similar symptoms. Most of the catalogs have them. Give me a little time and I'll see if I can find a part number.

thanks, I ended up ordering from ecklers just because they offered 2 day shipping and I have a appointment with the mechanic this weekend!!
Anyone have a schematic of the door layout? If it is easy enough I might do it myself.

I just went through this.. there are window stops that control the height that the window stops when its rolled all the way up. There are also ways to adjust the forward or back position and the inward or outward tilt. You just have to adjust, roll the window, check fitment, and repeat until its right. Takes awhile but worth it in the end.

okay, yes the plastic piece was indead broken, we replaced it then had to do major work trying to get the wondow to the correct stop. After replacement the window would not go up nearly enough and it was too far forward. After alot of playing with it I have a good gap in the back but the front looks like the gap could be smaller and it looks like the window could roll up another mm or 2. I will probably have to go back again, but we let it like that for now since my weather stripping is soo hard and pushed in from where the window was before with the broken part. my guess is that it has been broken for a long time.

I borrowed the manual from a friend, and I printed the two main pages with a table on what to adjust for what symptoms, this to me seems very helpful as it gives you a clear path to solve your issues. Here are the links to the pictures of the pages, if someone could transfer them to the forum.

I have this problem with my drivers side. I've had it apart many times, even used Lock-tite. I swear it loosens up on me just to aggravate me. I have to be careful on how I close the door because the glass will land on the outside of the metal at the top, what a PIA.
