okay, my driver's door on my 94, the window buttons work, the mirror adjustments work, the courtesy light works. The cargo glass door button does not work, the power lock button does not work, the button that turns on the courtesy lights and the alarm system and turns off the stereo when the door opens does not work.
On the passengers doo everything works except the power lock button.
Check all fuses and the all three "door open" switches. Could be more than one problem. Also, does the console button open the hatch, or does it not work either?
Driver's door hatch button could simply be that the switch is not connected. Easy thing to not do when putting the door panel back on.
Since I just did this yesterday and fighting similar problems....look at the contacts in the connectors for the door lock and door adjar switch.
The door lock connector comes apart so the five contacts can be cleaned and squeezed tigher. Clean the door lock switch studs.
Remove the door adjar switch...and yes the connector will come out the hole....just need to press on the connector clip to get it out. Put one screw back in to hold the metal retainer before you disconnect the door adjar switch from the harness.
Use an ohm meter on the door adjar switch...it should show zero ohms and then go to infinite when you push the plunger in. If you need a new one, get from Rock Auto...$15 each.
I had rain water get into driver's door adar switch, ruined the switch and corroried the contacts in the connector. The radio would shut off and the interior lights would not come on when the driver's door was opened...and the alarm would not set. All fine now.
