Question about Ruby's or not Ruby's WTF ???????????
I was talking to a guy today (seemed very Vette knowledgable) abouit his 93'. He said it was a rare  40th anniversery edition that was Polo Green! WTF  I said "oh it was just a 93' then" & he proceded to expain that there were like 100 or so "special edition" 40th's ordered with different paint schemes ???? Very Rare blah, blah, blah........
I thought all the special editions were Ruby Red, otherwise it was just a 93.
Am I wrong or has this guy been sucking on the old crack pipe ????

Neal he's a dumb ****, only the ruby red package is considered the "special 40th package." All 93s are anniversary cars but they just have 40 stitched in the seats, nothing else "special" about non rubies.

Exactly. My dad has a Black Convertible. It's special to me though :D Were there less black ones/other colors made than the ruby edition???
There were more Rubies than any other color that year. Usually Torch Red or Bright Red would be the most, but in 1993 Ruby Red took the cake with the most produced in that color.
Another color question: What other year besides 1993 was Torch red(or Bright Red) not the most produced?

Some people really need to get their facts straight before they open their mouths and start talking s**t.
As a Ruby owner, I find this stuff really annoying. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort for people like that to educate themselves on what really took place in 1993, instead of fabricating events to their liking.
As stated before, the Ruby Red cars are "the" 40th Anniversary cars, period. All 1993 model year Corvettes (except those with the base black cloth seats) do have the 40th Anniversary logo embroidered into the headrests, but that is all that they have in common.
RPO Z25 (40th Anniversary Package) consisted of Ruby Red metallic exterior, Ruby Red leather sport seats, power driver seat, Ruby Red center caps for the rims, chrome colored (instead of black) nose and gas door emblems, 40th Anniversary side fender badges, and the convertibles wore Ruby Red cloth tops.
I think that guy's reality check must have bounced.

Thanks for the replies group. I figured he was out there, but before opening mouth & inserting foot I figured I would ask. Makes me feel better to know I was right :)

If I remember right, there was someone here with a green 93 that was trying to get into the ruby registry.. that was years ago, memory sketchy.

Kale:
:yesnod: I think I met him two years ago @ Carlisle when he tried to park with the rest of the Rubys. He gave the registry (Dale) alot of crap when he was politely informed he was not parking in the correct area.
I think his cheese slid off the cracker
