Default air conditioner question

How do I remove air conditioner pulley to get at the bolts to remove it?

Shouldn't have to .
Compressor comes out with pulley attached
what year ?

but to remove it you need a pulley removal kit, harbor freight sells them for around $20-25. the hub has internal threads so you can pull it from the compressor.

But to remove the compressor which he says he wants to do ,you don't need to remove the pulley.

Waiting for OP to reply because if he has a early Harrison compressor there is a trick to getting to the bolt behind the pulley

Not the way I read it. If that's the case he shouldn't be doing either...

Don't know the year but on my 85 it's easy to take off the the whole bracket with the compressor. One bolt that is hidden under the pully is a torx with 1/2 the head shaved so it needs to be positioned to remove.
