Since I picked up this '87 a couple weeks ago after it had been sitting for 14 years, I have been slowly learning about it through the FSM and testing circuits. From day one, my heater / AC controls would light up and go through the motions on the unit itself, but no movement from the blower. I figured there must be an issue with the controller of course. Today I used my test light to check for power at the blower itself.. humm, power there. So I did what anyone with common sense would do.. I plugged it back in and gave the blower a sharp rap with the handle of my screwdriver..
Guess what.. A little bit of squealing now runs like a charm. I went through all the settings and it seems to be controlling as it should. Sometimes it is the simple things with these cars I'm noticing..
Now, if it was as easy to identify which fusible link by the battery is causing no power to my driver side headlight bucket motor and the under hood light on that side, I'll be all set. They all look the same.

Sometimes the answer really is WD40, duct tape, or a sharp rap.
