I know that this isn't the midwest or the Northeast but last night in the desert it got down into the 20's and encrusted the Vette in a layer of ice.
Im going to just let her thaw out without touching her to avoid any scratches.
I certainly feel for you guys in colder climates.
And...that with the salt is why most of us Northern boys put our rides away for the winter. That being said, if I had a easy to get into and out of garage with heat. I'd still be driving mine, till the salt flies.
Well I let it thaw and took it for a drive. It was the first time in what I consider cold weather.
The engine seems really strong with that cold dense air. Maybe it was a placebo effect but it felt stronger.
However those eagle F1's hardened up real good and ride quality stunk.
Yep, we've got a cold snap passing through the desert southwest. Marco is tucked away in his (heated) cave for a few days, but it's supposed to warm back up by mid week. Cruisin' time again

You have a heated garage, that makes as much sense as me having an air-conditioned one

Ok... so its not just me.... I thought the ride quality of my vette was starting to take a dump, now that its COLD out...... but a small piece of me hoped it was the car and parts reacting to the COLD climate.

Funny thing is it's still in the 60's here in the northeast, although the forecast for the end of the week is for mid to upper 30's for high temps. It has been unseasonably warm here, but i know it's just a matter of time before the snow flies.
It's still in the 50's here in Kentucky but I run Summer performance tires. They get very slippery around freezing. They have about as much grip as teflon sliding on ball bearings.
Still 50 plus here in NY thus I drove her to work last night. Good thing they handle well as I dodged deer all the way home at 5 this morning. Yes Forrest, stupid is as stupid does...
