Default wheel size questions

i just purchased a 92 coupe a few weeks ago and im looking into new wheels and im trying to decide which size. im looking at 17 x 9.5 and a 18 x 10.5 for the rear and im wondering if the 18x10.5 stays tucked up under well or any rubbing issues, all the wheels im looking at are a corvette style replicas, just wondering what the widest possible on the back and not have any issues. i wont go any bigger than an 18in in the rear but what size tire/wheel combo is everybody using

I believe the wider wheels will not fit on the rear. The ZR1's had a widened rear body for this purpose.

10.5's aren't ZR-1 width.

Here is the info on C5 wheels and tires. I have had the C5 base wheels/tires on my 91 with no interference problems. Just from eyeballing my setup I think the Z06 wheels will also fit.
In fact I am picking up a set of OEM Z06 wheels after Christmas and am pretty sure they will fit.

Wheels

Also unique to the C5 Z06 are wider wheel rims and tires, which increase contact with the road and are essential to providing better grip. The design aesthetics of the new wheel rims are also one of the visual identifiers for the Z06, and are the most mass-efficient aluminum wheels ever produced for Corvette. They are painted a light gray metallic, and serve to show off the red brake calipers used on the Z06, especially when the car is in motion. The center cap of each rim also displays the red Corvette "crossed-flags" emblem for added identification at rest.

[edit] Tires

Goodyear specifically designed new wider, "grippier" tires for the Z06. Called Goodyear Eagle F1 SC (Supercar) tires, they allowed the Z06 to handle, brake, and perform better than any production Corvette yet tested. These same tires can be found on other super-high-performance vehicles such as the Ford GT, and differ from the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT tires provided as factory equipment on C5 coupés and convertibles as follows:
