A tip for working on the dash
I have my driver's seat out to the trim shop for repair and I am also installing a RedLine shift boot, e-brake cover, center console pad and steering wheel cover.
There is a lot more room to work on the interior with the seat out but the seat track is kinda hard on the old butt. I found a boat cushion in my garage and found it to be a perfect fit!
I pulled the steering wheel off to make the job easier. I was real pleased with the free tool rental at AutoZone too. I had to pay $20 for the steering wheel puller but they refund the money when you return the toll.

To state the obvious...pulling the seat track isn't very hard either. Four bolts and the whole thing is out. (Course, you have to figure out the "trick" covers on the front bolts first.)
FWIW, I won't try to work under the DS w/o removing the DS seat first. PS...maybe.
I also pull the lower seat cushion before putting anything like my knee/foot on the seat. Avoids severe stretching of the leather. And, the seat cushion pops out easily with a snap wire (under the front).

Good info. I was a bit disappointed to not find any change under the seat. Nothing interesting at all. The previous owner was a fighter pilot. I thought I might at least find something under there that reflected a romantic adventure of some sort.
