Any of the many companies that do vehicle wraps have access to the templates for specific vehicles. You can then create your art with any of the standardized graphic programs that are commonly used.
I know certain vehicles cost additional for the templates because they are not included in the template packages.
The license plate plug on mine is a wrap.
The vinyl itself is usually about 1/3rd the cost of the labor to physically wrap the car.
That looks pretty good, post some more pics. I thought about wrapping my 88 but got to see some fo the work the locals do, and it changed my mind. What i am going to do is just wrap a part after she gets painted. I have a friend who is pretty good with datail.

Here is a closer pic before the car was painted, it shows the embossing pretty well.
Not bad, I have a couple pretty radical ideas with realistic flames, tiki torches and the bad luck idle from the brady bunch goes to hawaii
I have done some research and i think out the door im looking 2-3k.
how durable are they? is a door ding going to ruin the entire wrap? if the wrap gets torn can it be repaired?
The laminated vinyl is very durable, unless they smash a panel it or cut it intentionally it will last until you decide to remove it. The laminations are UV protective so they resist fading.
You are probably very close in your cost estimation.
I haven't checked for a template but the approx material square footage would be about 275-300sf to cover your Vette top to bottom end to end. The materials (3M vinyl and 3M lamination) would come to about $1,200 based on our pricing here.
Depending on the install costs in your area. You would be looking at around $1,700. Installation is not difficult but a good installation will be key to your satisfaction. Anyone can apply the vinyl, but doing well is an artform.
I would avoid anyone who is selling less quality materials on the cheap, the longevity is best with the 3M products in my opinion.
never noticed your location were pretty close.
Where did you get the wrap at?
Think it could be DIY applied?
West Porter Ranch is kind of a personal joke between my GF and myself based on some people we know in "West Hills" , home is really Chatsworth up around Rocky Peak area
I took the pic, made the art and had them output the plate wrap and apply it at work here in Burbank. We do all kinds of Graphics/outdoor advertising including some vehicle wraps.
The plate plug could easily be DIY if you have ever done any window tint or applied other heat type materials. You would just need a heat gun and to prep it well and some patience. The vinyl contours easily to the shape, but distortion can happen if you stretch and pull it too far in the wrong direction. As far as a whole car it might be a little more challenging.

Yes you will need to get the installers input. They will be responsible for the end result so they will want to have a say.
