What is it about Pickup's and SUV's that make it seem like they just have to pass a Vette? Especially Dodge's. Does it make their Johnson's get bigger?
It seems like most of the time I pass one (I usually cruise about 5 over) the next thing you know they are coming around like gangbusters and then pull right in front of me and slow down. So, I end up going around them again and it starts all over. This usually keeps up till I end up Pissed and just nail it long enough for them to get the idea that I am tired of the games. I make a 500 mile tirp from the KC area to Dallas about every 6 weeks and this happens all the time.
Anyone else have this joyous experience?????

This post is funny to me because I live in the land of "mad moms on thier cell phones in Mac trucks". Hear in Huntington Beach CA, most women now seem to drive the biggest SUV that a company produces, and love burning up them free cell phone minutes. They will sit at a green light stopped not knowing its green because they are on the phone and then looking at the back seat trying to shut their kids up so they can continue to talk in peace. So you go aroung them and as you go by they realize its time to go. Then they gun, it get on your butt and try to get around you because your driving to slow, (for them anyways). :smash:

As for the Dodges, you see, those dipwads watched that ridiculous Dodge Durango commercial where the Durango is towing a load and passes the Porsches that are "slowin' them down" you know, the one where the wife remarks, "Oh great... stuck behind another one of these..." when the Porsche is in front of them through the Mtn twisties
.. the dipwads figure "I know my Durango can pass a Porsche (I saw it on TV after all), so I gotta pass this 'Vette."
As for me, yeah it happens, usually the stoplight derby nonsense. I usually don't play... but I have destroyed a few here and there :yesnod:
I actually had a guy in a Ford Expedition riding my bumper on a narrow two laner the other day when I was cruising around after work to relax. Road has a section that has twisties. The bumper hugging didn't work out so good for him in the twisties  He did try feebley to stay with me at first but when i exited the end of the 2nd s-curve he didn't emerge form it for a disturbing while there... he didn't hug my bumper anymore and I still wonder if he might have scared himself somewhere in that curve :)
I just hope they don't Firestone tires when they SLAM on the brakes and try to stop those 6000 pound road monsters. I'd sure hate to see one of those roll 6 times down the ditch next to me.
Yeah it happens here in KS too. We have the pick ups with the huge loud dual exhausts. When they hammer it it makes alot noise but doesn't go anywhere.
It happens everywhere. Am I the only person who thinks that a CDL driver's license should be required to drive these things? My parents have an S-10 Blazer, in the whole scheme of things it's a relatively small SUV. You can't see out of that thing in ANY direction other than forward. I have to make an effort to break my neck to see if anything is around. My parents don't even bother, they just change lanes, etc. I've almost witnessed far too many accidents this way. And this is my parents who don't talk on Cell phones or have small children in the back.
It should be a FEDERAL mandate that using a cell phone in a moving automobile should be illegal PERIOD. Just the other day I almost got run over in a parking lot by some girl in her huge Lincoln SUV. She stopped to pick up 3 more friends and as she started to pull away started to dial her cell phone. I yelled for her to "try and not hit the gas pump" but she didn't hear me, she was so busy paying no attention to anything. Her friends did hear me, they proceeded to get told that they were number 1 with me.
There should be a law that says you cannot drive a 9 passenger vehicle for only a mother and an infant! These are the most dangerous vehicles on the road for both the passengers and the other cars. I like to have a required cell phone jammer installed that will disable all cell phone communications whenever a vehicle is in motion, or for that matter if the motor is even running, that way you couldn't use it at the traffic lights.
