Drove my 1992 today in the mountains of Montana! Dry roads, almost no snow on the ground. Is it October? Not complaining, but we could have some low river flows in the summer. Last year we'd been under snow for three months by this time.
Passed two guys on Harleys on my ride.
Is anyone else experiencing some thin snow cover this year?
Yep!!! I'm in Minnesota and I have grass in my yard! I feel bad because I haven't taken advantage of it and got my vette out. Last year I had close to 3 feet of snow in my yard at this time!
You will prolly get a blizzard now. Kinda like sayin "What else can go wrong" Just wait, you will find out!
Glad you can enjoy your car a little longer!
Well there may be no snow out there (I'm in SE Michigan) and the temperatures may be much higher than normal, but it is still winter. From my perspective, winter starts when they throw salt out on the streets (which is now clearly evident) and ends when the first spring rain washes the last of the salt away. So I guess I can't really enjoy my car without worrying about creating potential rust problems.
Still no snow or salt on the roads here in eastern Massachusetts....took the Z out today for a jaunt......never thought I'd still be driving in January......this is payback for last winters record snowfall.....I'm likin' this!!............
In Germany, and basically Europe, we don´t have any snow too this winter.
Not once salt needed to be used as of now.
But lots of rain so I don´t drive in the Vette that much right now...
Strange winter this year, way too warm. We should have had lots of snow by now...
We drove downtown and back today. It took awhile to produce heat but it was "different" driving it in January. Last March we had to drive it to western PA to see my Mother before she died, the Vette was the only car I felt was up to the trip. So this year the Vette will not be put in "storage". Tomorrow I will drive it to work.
