So my C4 needs new weatherstripping. I have installed it on a C3 and could prob do it with my eyes closed, but have ZERO experience with C4 Corvettes. So the questions are:
After I buy the kit, what is the removal procedure? (thread on this?)
Do I need weather stripping adhesive?
I see on the vendors websites little black plastic studs, do I need these?
Any tips from you members who have done this before?
Hopefully the wind noise and leaks will all go away after this is done!

Remove with an old screwdriver or similar weapon. Doesn't matter if it comes off in shreds. The factory rubber is glued into metal retainers that are themselves screwed and sealed on to the window frames. Yes, you need adhesive, I've used the 3M 08008 (messy, but effective). I reused the plastic studs. If you watch carefully how the strips come off, reassembly will not be too hard, especially since you have experience. You will likely have to remove the retainers in order to clean off the remaining bits of the old rubber.
Once you have redone the rubber, you will probably have to readjust the side windows, sort of a pain in the neck, because you will be taking the interior panels off.
If you spring for Latex you won't have to mess with the windows and NO adhesive, if done right no leaks. Had to have a windshield done once right after, no problem the weatherstripping came right out and right back in.
I used Willcox on the A & B pillars of my 95. No leaks, no whistles, no adhesive, no window adjustments, fit great. The original adhesive is a ***** to get off....I used carb cleaner and let it soak (guard your paint). The channels can be challenging to get all of the old bits out of....I used a hooked paint can opener to clear out the channels.
when i replaced my a pillar seals i tryed my best to take it off as on mass. just makes it easyer. as for the adhessive, i dident use any and im just fine. you can use it and is prolly the preferred thing to do but i dident.
The installation is a walk in the park. Ive done this twice (wilcox and Corvette Central) and the windows are off. Ive learned to lower the window a bit everytime I open the doors.
On the wilcox set does not seal at the targa/window. It needs to be adjusted. Remember these are aftermarket parts and nothing is bolt on.

How are the adjustments done? Adjustments between car and weatherstrip or weatherstrip and window glass?

The door glass has several adjustments for height, angle, and in/out. On my convertible, there is no adjustment for the weatherstripping itself, some have said they adjusted the targa top in the coupe.

This kind of stuff, on C3 corvettes at least, is a headache sometimes

It's sort of a pita on C4's, too- the door panel has to come off, along with all the switches, etc., and the plastic bits are old enough to be brittle.

Removal of the old stuff is 90% of the battle.
Could you post up pictures of the Wilcox?
I have heard mixed results, but if you are satisfied... Love to see how it looks.
