I was 23 in 1977 when I bought a 340hp 1962
2 years later bought a wrecked 54 and a pile of parts,
Did make it back into a complete car but sold before finishing.

First Corvette
I was in the Navy stationed at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach and bought a 1964 Convertible with both tops in 1966 at age 23. Paid $2200 for it. I am now 75 and drive a 2004 convertible. Paid a little more for this one.

29, a month ago. Spent a bit of time of F bodies and on um... early saturns... Hey...they're lightweight, high RPM cars.
was never that interested in vettes until I saw a c4, hood opened up looking mean, loved the old style interior, the roomy hatchback, room for six speakers throughout the car, removable top, not very prone to rust, last generation car, perhaps the only race bred style over that able to decently fit both small block/big block engines. And NO one, and I mean no matter how little you know about cars will ever question what kind of car this is after seeing the rear of these early c4's. Pure corvette! List goes one as to why i suddenly caved in for a c4.

19 Years old, purchased a 65 Roadster for $6500 in 1982. Needless to say, it was in need of some help at the time. In 86 and 87 Placed 2nd in the country in my ISCA class.
45 Corvette's later, still loving every minute of my Corvette addiction...
Wife didn't look too bad back then either! Of course I am bias'd
