Some dealers may have made aftermarket wheels a option on a new car
but there are no listings of any as a official GM factory option wheel

Not OEM Corvette. Only thing Corvette about those is the center cap. Besides those are 1/2" too narrow to be z51 rims.

Seen these around quite a bit. The owners always swear the wheels are factory original.
Haven't seen an RPO code for them.

Wondering if GM sold them through the dealers when the base wheel (6 spoke turbine) was not favorable to the buyer.

Definitely not an option from the factory when this car was new.

I had what would seem to be the identical wheels on my '84 for a couple of years in the late '80's. They were made by American Racing and kind of a knock-off of the Gotti. Mine were silver, but they were also available with gold accent, as on your pic.

I thought I recalled a few threads from a few years past regarding these wheels. Here's one with some "snapshots" of the gold:

Maybe that dealership put them on as a way to add a little fat onto the sticker price. As they do now a days with pinstripes, flaps, or paint protectant. The things we ALL say we aren't paying for. GM never offered them as an option shipped from the factory.
