Just ordered my new Vert top
I was on E-Bay earlier today and saw a top forr a 1995 Vert and the starting price was $377.00. Well, I did a bunch of research on other forums and checked them out. All the Mustang, Miata, Porsche and Jaguar guys said they were just like the factory tops and fit great.
There weren't any Vette guy's responses so I took a chance, went hog wild and set my max bid at $380.00. I had no expectation of winning the auction. The guy has sold thousands of tops and has a 100% satisfied rating. Everyone was very happy on the forums. Not 1 complaint. I had forgotten about it but I just checked and I won it.
It's the Hartz Stayfast cloth with a heated and tinted rear window, 6 year guarantee and a lifetime guarantee against the glass coming unglued. That's the best guarantee that I've found......and I've been looking.
What mouldings do I have to change when I do the top. Mine are all getting pretty worn. Can I do the windshield header later and just get the 7 piece trim now or does it all have to be done while the top's off?
3 to 9 days for them to make it and free shipping. Time to get busy and start taking stuff apart. No more leaks......I hope.
