I used it on a Cadillac once and as I remember it is (or was) an annual access fee. Not really worth it for me as an individual but a shop may use it enough to justify the annual fee. I usually get my advise out of service manuals and believe or not, gasp, forums....

It's terrific!!!! We use it at the repair shop where I work. It has access to all the factory manuals going back I forget how far,but not far enough. But it also has a history of TSB'S associated with the vehicle you are working on , which is very helpful at times. Hard to get by without in a repair shop! IMHO.

Our shop has a Alldata account and I can access it from home simply by logging in with the shop userid. it's a big help because I can use my wireless laptop out in the garage.

I did find that everything that's in the Alldata section for my 87 coupe are the same pages found in the FSM.

Check out alldata.com for professional stuff or alldatdiy.com for home use.

Yep that is what I did, just the 1 car, but back then, don't know about now, it was an ANNUAL fee ($20 per year). I only needed it maybe once a year, so I had to pay $20 every time I used it, not worth it to me.

If you plan to keep the car, research the long term rates, think they are much less than a single year subscription. Worth every penny in my opinion, it has all the same information as the FSM plus TSB's and even labor times for jobs you may not choose to tackle.
I still like having a paper manual, but also have a subscription to Alldata for my vehicles.

I have it for all of my vehicles & I've used it quite a bit through the years. I believe that they offer discounts for multiple year/vehicle types of purchase. I am not a professional and I find it very useful when working on my vehicles.
