It's raining today, and i relized that i needed new wipers for the car. So i stopped at Autozone, and picked up some 20 inches(like the book said i needed).
Well, i put them on, drove home(huge improvement), but when i got home, the wipers won't go back under the hood! I compared the old to the new, and the are alot lower profile than the new ones!!! They stick up too much to go under the hood!
So, where in the heck do i get wiper blades?? I'm taking these back... :cuss
Mervz, this is a neverending battle. You will probably have to get in touch with Jeff Kopp (18Carfan) and have him order you up some blades. None of the fatermarket ones seem to work perfectly.

You have his email address?
I think he's the guy with the LT4 knock chips too, right?
Re: Another stupid question, Windshield wipers?? (Mervz)
HeHeHeHe ..... just went through EXACTLY the same thing . No cheap autostore brands will work . I ended up buying new GM blades from dealer.....yikes almost $45 for both sides. Jeff Kopp is a much better choice.....good luck. :seeya
Re: Another stupid question, Windshield wipers?? (Mervz)
Mervz, i had the very same problem...... finally i found aftermarket ones that fit right.
heres the brand name, Trico... and the model is Exact Fit 20-2 or 20-1 they will look exactly the same as the stock ones but they are aftermarket. they're not as expensive as the stock ones either.
good luck.
so finally i get to tell scorp hes wrong and that, "I know something you don't know." not all aftermarket wiper blades fit poorly on corvettes ;)

Re: Another stupid question, Windshield wipers?? (Mervz)
Sometimes, its just best to stick with OEM. I had read about problems with
aftermarket brands not fitting correctly, so after getting a new windshield, I
just bought a set at my local GM dealer P/N 1236-3800 $10.44 each! For a '92
I think folks should always check the OEM price before looking for a substitute.
Certainly don't think that price is too much to pay for factory blades!
Re: Another stupid question, Windshield wipers?? (ragvette)
I am lucky, I live in Phoenix and it never rains here, tried to turn on the wipers once and they crashed so will never drive my 89 roadster in the rain (lol) :jester :jester :jester :jester :jester
