The covers look pretty good, I think........How hard were they to put on....You said "had them installed".....you had them done somplace??? Im not sure if its the angle of the camera or what, but it looks like your car is kind of high off the wheels??? Is this something you wanted??? I might consider lowering it.

I had them done by a friend of the Family works strictly on Chevy's he also builds race cars, it took all of 20 minutes if that. He took the tires off I put the covers on he put tires on after i put cover, I also had them rotated while they was off.
As for the car looking high here is a Similar angle..i'm not sure what made it look that way, possibly sitting on the jacks.
Ok - so how about tellling us how you did it exactly?! First, did you do them on or off the car? Second, how did you clean them up before painting? Third, what kind of paint did you use? Fourth, how's it standing up? Fifth, what would you do differently next time? (They look very good, by the way.)

ok first to clear everything up, they are not on backwards! haha the stickers that were put on were backwards, the drilled holes are supposed to be slotted forward the way i have them. not sure why the stickers were on the wrong side.
as for the painting, its really an easy process. i did it on the car with the lines still attached. i removed the caliper from the rotor. now my calipers were pretty old and cruddy so i took a little wire brush attatchment on my dremel and cleaned them up really well. i then sprayed the whole caliper really well with brake cleaner an allowed it to dry off. i then took duplicolors brake caliper spray paint, and applied 3-4 coats roughly 15 minutes in between each coat. iv had them on since earlier this spring and they are holding up great. everytime i was the car i scrub the calipers while im cleaning the wheels and i havnt had any paint chipping or fading. total cost- 2 cans of spray paint $14, 1 can brake caliper cleaner (also duplicolor, youll find it right next to the caliper paint in your local auto parts store) $6 maybe? dremel wirebrush attatchment (can also be used with a regular drill if you dont own a dremel) $4. took maybe a few hours with half of that being just waiting 15 minutes between coats. i did fronts first, then back but to speed things up you could just get the whole car off the ground and do them all together
im 21 now, but did these earlier in the spring when i was 20 working full times overnights and going to school full time, trust me it doesnt take too long! just cause i love showing the car off, here it is with rubber attached to the rims!

And the result is quite nice. Glad you cleared up that rotor on the wrong side thing....
