Default EST Timming conector
Does anyone know when the 84s started or stopped using the EST connector as a mandatory means of getting the correct timming. My cap has a female end on it with no male jack anywhere? Was it possible to by pass this system?

Its always used, almost every GM efi systemin the 80s has a bypass. On the 84s, the bypass is near the master cylinder. Seems to me that on some GMs you had to jumper the ALDL to set base timing.
