IF I were looking to sell an 84 crossfire engine turn key engine everything from the harness to the ECM and dash radiator hoses ac components front portion of fuel lines hedman hedders minus the smog pump. What could i expect to get? I'm thinking of a crate engine to go in it's place.

You may want to try a marine website, they're always looking for boat anchors.
However the mere fact that the OP wants to sell his means he's not too impressed either. Not a lot of demand for a 205 HP engine with a fuel management system that requires a Phd to keep running. Now as a boat anchor, this engine really comes into it's element.
The only thing thats keeping it from making power is the intake, its still a small block chevy underneath, w/ the right upgrades you can make 300hp easily.
When I replaced my cfi w/ a single tbi (from a truck) & 4 barrel intake(w/ a tbi adaptor), I was really surprised in how much more power it had.

What kind of induction are you going to use on the crate motor?
Throw it on an online auction site with an opening bid of $1 and no reserve. In 7 days you will know exacty what it is worth. Don't set your hopes too high.
The Crossfire setup is a great swap for an old Jeep. It's EFI, so no carb issues at odd angles, and it has lots of torque for climbing. Post it for sale on a Jeep forum.
I've had my 84 since new. Did everything possible with the cf; porting of heads, intake, throttle body, cam, nitrous. Eventually went with a carb and now a SuperRam. Been through a bunch of motors since.

This is your best option barring the boat anchor solution...
Each year has its own issues, I wouldn't say 84s have a fuel magement problem, is a simplier efi system. In fact it uses the same type of sensors (excect maf on 85 up) that the tpi use.
Does the 85s have the same fuel mangement problems?
Tell us....which "fuel management problems" were those? I owned (and modified) one for 12 years and I recall no such issues. Have you ever owned one? Worked on one? Seen or touched one? Cite the source of data for your claim...

Thinking of an 800+ HP engine supercharger and nitrous combo. In my mind 500-600 HP is going to run 11-13k but I can substitute 200 shot of nos every now and then for about $600
Is this your first build? I say that because your wondering what the value of a used L83 is, your project (dream?) is gonna involve a whole lot more then just engine swap. Show us some parts that you've got for it.

Sounds like an interesting build. Keep us posted and throw some pics on here when you get started.

You're talking some serious investment in cash and time. If it's really what you want, go for it anyway.

I would say it is a dream as of now but ive decided I'll do anything to achieve that dream. As of now I have the car that's all. I'm going to wait until I have half of the money needed. So I will do without for awhile but it will be worth the sacrifice. If I'm lucky 15k will supply everything needed.
