As a new C4 owner, I would like to know if ground effects and a spoiler are acceptable. Or, is this an amature thing to do? I don't want to look back and regret modifying my ride.
It's all up to you and what look you're trying to achieve. I personally find that the C4 doesn't need any body kits since I prefer how the body looks as is, but I would go with a small spoiler because I think they look nice. Again, it's all up to you and what you want. I'd say your best bet is to do a Google search for C4s with body kits and/or spoilers, see what they looks like and pick out what you like
It is all up to you. It is yours and if you feel that it will look good with a spoiler or more go for it. There are so many that have mods on them take a look and see what you think.
Many vette owners don't care for them but I agree with the other posters and say it's up to you. What ever brings a smile to your face when you look at your car and makes you proud when you drive it.
Just figured I would post some links for the OP just to give 'em a helping hand. I'm not sure how well these links will work since I'm posting them from my phone. If they don't, all I types in Google's search bar is "c4 corvette body kit".
I never figured to go aftermarket, but when a lady and 4 kids in an suv drove over the front of my hood and the parts were available at killer prices, I swapped everything but the doors, and I actually like it better. The flowthru stalker front bumper works better than that BM/airdam, and like I said I'm getting used to it.

Reason: havent got the hood ....yet
Welcome to forum.
If you get it and like it the way it is, or feel it needs "something" to make it your's, you'll know after owning it for a month or so.
I personally like the ground effects, custom bumpers, spoilers and also, stripes.
New wheels are easy and fun to do. LED tail lights are a good visual change, too.
Everyone is correct, it is your car,it's your decision. The only thing I would add is that such kits may lower resale appeal, if you are concerned about that.
As everyone else has said, it's up too up, but definitely try to stay away from the riceboy look unless you're into that; but be warned you will be ostracized by the vette community for the latter.
I always thought the greenwood kit looked fairly slick, if I ever decided I needed / wanted a kit I would go with it. I generally like the car the way it is, but that's just my opinion.
You could go get the triple decker Red Baron spoiler :P

They run the gammut (sp?). My point is, you'll know it when you see it, and there are a lot of different ones out there. (I like (one) of the Calloway kits, but some others look like hell, IMO. YMMV)
If I were installing one, the one concern I might have would be could it be reversed cleanly, or not. Modded cars appeal to different market segments. For example, If you pull the FI and bolt on a carburator and spray paint the interior, it might be peachy to you, but doing so will probably narrow the number of potential buyers. Depending on what the mod is, getting it ready for resale will likely vary - IF that is ever a concern. The rest is up to you, as others have said too!
