I posted this in the tech section before, but received no feedack so I'm posting here.
Now, I'm sure that I'll get at least one person to tell me to search through old threads, but I did and I couldn't find any real solution. The problem is that sometimes after I start my '94 up, it almost stalls so I have to feather the gas to keep the rpms up. This will last for a couple, maybe about 5-10 seconds, and then it will idle normally. Does anyone have any suggestions about what could be causing this? Thanks!
You don't have a cold start injector. So that isn't it. It does sound like a fuel delivery problem. Maybe just a fuel filter problem? You might want to check fuel pressure and pressure drop after shutdown as well.
Start with fuel pressure gauge, key on, engine off, twice, at least till you get steady reading. Then note reading, key off, let it sit for like 15 min. and then note reading. It should not drop off rapidly. Report back findings.

So, LT1's have no cold start injectors??? Didn't know that. Thanks.
Try cleaning your IAC (idle air control) and your throttle body. When mine was going south it would start up and die, but if I kept throttle on it it would eventually smooth out. But then it finally died completely. I cleaned it and it was better so then I replaced it and all was fine.
Try it, it could be the problem. it costs you zero dollars, other than a cleaner. And it wouldn't hurt to clean it anyway.
There is a write up here on how to do it, because that's what I used to clean, change mine. Mine was a L98 but I think the the LT is even easier.
Thanks a bunch for all your help! I'll try to take a look at it before heading up to campus tomorrow. If not, there's always Friday and the weekend. Thanks again
