94 with VATS issue
One fine day in August 2011 wifey and I go to store and attempt to return home and no start, all the bells and whistles work but car will not start, this is the primary VATS trigger.
Have car towed home and start digging messing with starter, had no power there this is when I realize it is a VATS issue. I troll the net and find plans for a daisy chain resistor by pass that I can build with components from Radio Shack. A good friend and I get to work and build this resistor by pass. I get the car started but it is not right. I find that I have a "Check Engine" light, A "Service ABS" light on my DIC, Cruise Control is not working, ARS is not working and my brakes feel like the booster is going out, but it is new.
After a while I remove this resistor by pass and buy one from Ecklers to the correct resistance. Now it is like I am back to square one, my car will not start or do anything.
My car has been down for far too long and all I want to do is drive it again. I am looking for a mechanic who can fix it, or a private person who can fix it, how about some solid advice to what is wrong with it. I have the means to get the car fixed, towed, or ability to do the work myself.
I have talked to 50 different people and got 75 different answers. I no longer can see my way out of this hole and don't know what to do..........PLEASE HELP.
Thank You, Scott
